The Entertaible (worst name ever?) combines traditional social tabletop gaming with multiplayer computer gaming by turning the gameboard into a touch-sensitive, object position-tracking display. Players will be able to play using traditional boardgame pieces and dice on dynamic playing fields or changing levels — and maybe even a dungeon?

Here it is, the release that we’ve been working hard to get pushed. Immortus is a huge improvement over the 0.5 release. We’ve finally got a really solid system with some of the most intuitive features you’ll ever use in a publishing system. The big addition for Mephisto 0.6 is the slick Asset Management feature.

This page describes how to build a USB-keyboard in the form-factor of an old C64 breadbox. Actually, with little modification it can be used for any kind of keyboard, since the source code is available, and all that needs to be done is to modify the key-to-scancode mapping.

Until now, to install Linux on a notebook, the user had to purchase a laptop with Microsoft installed, uninstall it, and then install the preferred Linux distribution. One of the things Lenovo’s laptops offers via its OS-less HDs is mainstream users a chance to get Linux desktops without having to pay Microsoft.
