As many of you know, NVIDIA is launching its next-generation GeForce 8-series products later this week. However, there has been a manufacturing problem with a batch of the GeForce 8800 GTX cards. Clearly someone has made a mistake during the manufacturing process and NVIDIA is going to have to pull out all of the stops to meet its launch date.

Back in November I wrote about setting up a RAID array on my new Mac using a bunch of external hard drives I had sitting around. RAID stands for Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks, and is a way to bind together multiple disks into one larger and/or more reliable virtual disk.

The guys at HardOCP asked BFG, EVGA and XFX about the recent 8800GTX capacitor problems and what it means to tomorrows launch. The answers are pretty surprising considering a problem like this was found so late in the production cycle.
