This card, much like its older brothers, is an excellent all around card for a the user needing an multimedia card that can also be used for gaming. To boil it down, this card has it all. It is too bad that this will be the last of a breed that has dominated the multimedia market with such force that all rivals were laughed off of the market…

Vista launched today, and the new OS promises (eventually) to give gamers a whole new world with DirectX 10. The article goes into some of DX10’s offerings and why it will be great for developers, and therefore gamers. It’s a bit of a technical read, but very interesting.

The Samsung SyncMaster 960BF is an all white 19 inch LCD monitor. The panel sports a 4ms pixel response time and 700:1 contrast ratio. This colour scheme is reminiscent of a Mac Mini , and this monitor along with a Mac keyboard and mouse would like quite nice next to such a unit..

Right now it appears impossible for Blu-Ray to gain a substantial lead on HD-DVD, even after massive investment, they likely could only close the gap. The killing blow may have been done by Microsoft who decided to bring to market a $200 HD-DVD option for their Xbox 360. With a 6x advantage by year end, you’d have to conclude that HD-DVD has won.
