80 cores? Seems like Sci-Fi at this point. However, Intel R&D department current has an 80-core CPU. Intel says the CPU could hit the market in as little as 5 years. The biggest drawback is current software design. Many programs don’t even take advantage of 2 cores, noneheless 80. However, once they are, the power of this CPU will be mind blowing.

The two-of-a-kind custom airbrused Burning Crusade Edition notebooks are painted by Mike Lavalle and are currently well into the $4000 range. Not that crazy, as a similarly equipped XPS would set you back at least $3700 without the fancy artwork or Michael Dell signature. Plus the proceeds go to a good cause.
